Bay trees will root from cuttings, & now is as good a time as

any, as ur shoots will be ripened, after their summer growth period. Bay

If you can separate any with roots then it should be fairly simple, as
you can just report into some gritty compost, or add vermiculite or
perlite, which keeps the soil well aerated, & encourages good rooting.

For stem cuttings, they are usually shorter than 12-14 inches, I'd take
mine at 6 to 8 inches, stripping the lower leaves. I did in hormone
rooting solution or powder, & use a similar soil mix. You can add several
to a pot, & separate in mid spring time, when rooting should have started.

Place them in a shaded bright area, as too much sun will dry them, whilst
they have limited roots to uptake water. If you can put them on a
windowsill or in a greenhouse even better, as the warmth will help. You
can cover the pots with something like a plastic bag, to conserve moisture
too.

So, a couple of options - trying to remove some that could have roots &
just taking shoot cuttings, & getting them to root afterwards.

Hope this helps. Good luck! Rob
